Pre-Surgical Evaluation

A focused evaluation completed in a single session to document psychological readiness for surgery or another medical procedure, such as bariatric surgery. The assessment includes a clinical interview and standardized measures relevant to surgical preparation, followed by written documentation for the medical team.

Note: Testing fees are a flat rate based on the type of evaluation and include all appointments and testing, from the first appointment to the finalized report. Please contact the office to ask about fees for your particular evaluation.

How It Works

Intake Interview

A structured interview gathers history, current symptoms, and the referral question to determine the appropriate testing battery. Depending on the type of evaluation, you may be asked to gather and provide records from other providers, schools, hospitals, or other sources.

Testing Session

Standardized symptom and personality measures are administered in a controlled setting. Testing length varies based on clinical need.

Report Preparation

A written report summarizes test results, diagnostic impressions, and practical recommendations for treatment, accommodations, or medical teams.

Feedback Session

A dedicated session reviews findings, answers questions, and outlines next steps based on the evaluation results.
